(Washington Stand) President Donald Trump famously fended off a barrage of state and federal charges in a notorious lawfare campaign to end his presidential bid. In typical Trump fashion, the attacks rolled off his back, but other conservative and Christian groups aren’t so lucky.
The attacks against Trump were reminiscent of the Lois Lerner scandal during the Obama administration. The IRS, under Lerner’s leadership, was caught targeting conservative groups, even searching up keywords used by right-leaning nonprofits to target them for audits.
Many were shocked by the brazenness of the IRS and later the prosecutors who went after Trump, but they shouldn’t have been surprised. (Read More)
