University presidents, after refusing to fix social justice nonsense, make demands of lawmakers

(Idaho Freedom Foundation) Shame on Idaho’s university presidents for their elitist arrogance. These well-paid state employees know full well how their campuses have been turned into the indoctrination factories for the Radical Left, yet they’ve done little about it.

That hasn’t stopped the presidents of Boise State University, Idaho State University, and the University of Idaho from having the audacity to announce to the world that if lawmakers approve Gov. Brad Little’s expensive budget for higher education as written, they’ll keep tuition frozen for a second year in a row.

This is not a good look for Idaho’s colleges, who grew their social justice missions in 2020 against the wishes of legislators. Lawmakers gave school administrations a whole year to do something meaningful to get their universities back to their core missions and curb administrative bloat. There is a growing awareness about the public money our campuses are spending to fuel the fire of the social justice movement.  (Read More)

Amazon Sells 204 Items Promoting Violence and Hate, Like This “Kill All Republicans” Shirt

(LifeNews) Amazon terminated its contract with free speech platform Parler for “violent content on your website.” But Amazon itself deals with merchandise that advocates the death of all Republicans or specifically targets President Donald Trump.

The Media Research Center found at least 204 examples of merchandise sold on Amazon that promoted violence, either toward President Donald Trump, Republicans or members of the police force. Riot gear, including tasers, brass knuckles and stun sticks were also sold. Some of these violent products included a flag with a graphic image of Trump blowing his brains out, a mug with the slogan “Where is Lee Harvey Oswald now that we really need him?” and a black T-shirt with a red slogan, “Kill All Republicans.” The shirt that urged the death of Republicans was even a sponsored listing on Amazon.  (Read More)

Annual March for Life Will Be Held Virtually, Not in Person

(Daily Signal) The annual March for Life has been canceled in person this year, and the march’s president says this is only partly due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“The protection of all of those who participate in the annual March, as well as the many law enforcement personnel and others who work tirelessly each year to ensure a safe and peaceful event, is a top priority of the March for Life,” March for Life President Jeanne Mancini announced Friday.

“In light of the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic which may be peaking, and in view of the heightened pressures that law enforcement officers and others are currently facing in and around the Capitol, this year’s March for Life will look different,” she continued.  (Read More)

London newspaper reveals ‘shocking evidence’ about transgender treatments

(BioEdge) After a legal battle The Mail on Sunday has published what it called “shocking evidence” about transgender medicine which led a High Court judge to ban a government gender clinic from prescribing puberty-blockers.

The Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) clinic in London, also known as the Tavistock Centre, began prescribing these for children under 16 in 2011. In December the clinic was forced to stop after the Court ruled that it was “very doubtful” that youngsters could give informed consent.

Swedish psychiatrist Christopher Gillberg testified that the use of puberty blockers is basically “a live experiment” on vulnerable children. “In my years as a physician,” he wrote, “I cannot remember an issue of greater significance for the practice of medicine. We have left established evidence-based clinical practice and are using powerful life-altering medication for a vulnerable group of adolescents and children based upon a belief.”  (Read More)

Abortion clinic owner describes immense profit earned from “conveyer belt” abortion system

(Society for the Protection of Unborn Children) The former owner of American abortion clinics has described the immense profits abortionists make from a “conveyer belt” abortion system.

In the documentary, Life After Abortion, the former owner of five abortion clinics, now turned pro-life activist, Carol Everett, described the inside operations of the clinics.

Ms Everett said: “I sold abortions. I made $25 for each abortion. Now that doesn’t sound like a lot of money, but the last month we did 545 abortions, which means my last month’s income was $13,625. But I wanted to be a millionaire. And I knew how to do that. Math. Forty-thousand abortions a year would provide $1 million of income for me.  (Read More)

Why School Choice Isn’t Enough To Really Improve American Education

(The Federalist) Most conservatives have settled on school choice as the solution to most, if not all, of today’s education problems. It makes sense. In most of the country, public schools have a monopoly on K-12 education and therefore have little incentive to deliver quality instruction to students. They will receive funding whether or not students actually learn anything. In states with teachers unions, schools are even less accountable—to the point that teachers can refuse to work for all kinds of flimsy pretexts.

While school choice would definitely help break up the public school monopoly and power of teachers unions—which is why unions absolutely revile school choice advocates like Betsy DeVos—this alone would not immediately reform education.  (Read More)

Sheriff: KCSO won’t enforce mask mandate

(CDA Press) Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris said his department will not enforce public health mandates meant to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“Enforcing criminal sanctions on otherwise law-abiding people goes against the fundamental principles of the U.S. and Idaho Constitutions,” he said in a statement released Monday.

Norris said his office won’t “enforce dictates on healthy citizens.”

“It is my opinion that the facts are becoming clear with COVID 19 — certain risk groups should take extra precautions, but the vast majority of healthy people who contract COVID-19 will experience flu symptoms and recover,” said Norris, who was sworn in on Jan. 1.  (Read More)

Equality Act would stomp religious conservatives

(OneNewsNow) When the Democratic Party takes over the White House and both chambers of Congress in a few days, one obvious target is religious conservatives who interfere with the Left’s version of progress — but there is legislation waiting for passage that would swiftly take care of that burdensome problem.

President-elect Joe Biden vowed before Election Day to pass the Equality Act if elected, and to pass it within 100 days of taking office, The Hill reported in October.

In a post-election story, USA Today suggested America’s views on homosexuality have progressed to the point that it’s past time to amend and update Civil Rights-era laws guaranteeing fair housing and equal employment with the Equality Act, which would ensure the same legal protections for homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders.  (Read More)

Technically (Not) Speaking: The Conservative Purge Begins

(FRC) Could this be a time of real testing? Absolutely. “Jesus said before he comes back, it’s going to be as it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah,” Pastor Jack Hibbs reminded us on Thursday. “And prophetically speaking, we know that [those] days are coming. Jesus said they’re going to come. In America, we’ve had it very easy for a long time. And that doesn’t mean we give up. It means that we get ready. The church is being purified. It happened during COVID, and the next chapter is [starting]. And we need to stand.” Friends and family of faith, Jack said, get ready. “Get into your Bible like you never have before. Don’t mess around. If you don’t go to a Bible-teaching church, you need to find one, quick, that applies God’s word to the world in which we live.”  (Read More)

The conservative comeback starts here in Idaho

(Idaho Freedom Foundation) Washington D.C. is a chaotic mess

I don’t believe anything good for freedom will come from our nation’s capital. There’s infighting, chaos, and an ever-strengthening desire to just force those who disagree to do what we want.

Rioting and violence won’t save America. Storming a building, terrorizing legislators, and endangering people’s lives won’t lead to the change we need to see.

In fact, Washington D.C. has nothing do to with saving America—the solution simply won’t be found there.

A return to freedom and Constitutional principles doesn’t come from the capital: It comes from the states and cities and citizens like us.  (Read More)
